Christmas is here!
The festive season is finally here - a time that fills us with warmth, joy and precious moments. As the lights shine in the streets and the scent of freshly baked cookies fills the air, we want do take a moment to sincerely thank you. Thank you for being a part of our family and for placing your trust in us! Your visits bring our house to life and we are grateful for the many special memories we have created together.

Gletscherblick Gugelhupf
A heavenly Gugelhupf with a hint of speculoos, perfect for the winter season.
Our recipe as a Christmas present for you and your loved ones!
Ingredients
- 250 g butter (soft)
- 100 g powdered sugar
- zest of one organic lemon
- 1 pinch of salt
- Pulp of one vanilla pod
- 6 egg yolks
- 6 egg whites
- 100 g granulated sugar
- 125 g flour
- 125 g almond semolina
- 2 tbsp speculaas spice
Beat the soft butter with the powdered sugar in a mixing bowl until creamy. Add the lemon zest, salt, and vanilla, and continue mixing until smooth and creamy. Gradually fold the egg yolks into the butter mixture until everything is well combined. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with the granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
Mix the flour, almond semolina, and speculaas spice in a bowl. Alternately fold the beaten egg whites and the flour-almond mixture carefully into the butter-egg yolk mixture. Be gentle to keep the batter light and airy. Fill the batter into a greased and floured pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) with top and bottom heat for about 35 minutes. Check with a wooden skewer if the cake is done (the skewer should come out clean). Let the bundt cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then carefully remove it and let it cool completely. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or decorate with a lemon or chocolate glaze.
The Glacier Gugelhupf tastes wonderful with a cup of coffee or winter mulled wine.
